Missouri SB1184 requires General Assembly approval for administrative rules with a fiscal note over $250,000.

Missouri SB1184 mandates that the General Assembly must approve any proposed administrative rules that would require or result in an expenditure of public funds exceeding $250,000 per year. The bill outlines that such rules cannot be filed with the secretary of state until 30 days after the General Assembly adopts a concurrent resolution and the governor signs it. The rule also cannot become effective until these provisions are satisfied. The bill adds sections 536.180 and 536.185 to Chapter 536, RSMo, to enforce these requirements.
