SB1182

Authorizes the Missouri Department of Transportation to provide vehicle weight exemptions for certain vehicles

Introduced·1/7/26

Missouri SB1182 authorizes weight exemptions for trucks transporting solid waste or construction materials.

Missouri SB1182 allows the Missouri Department of Transportation to provide weight exemptions for certain vehicles. Specifically, trucks transporting solid waste between a city and a disposal or processing facility can operate with a weight not exceeding 22,400 pounds on one axle or 44,800 pounds on any tandem axle. Similarly, trucks transporting materials or equipment to a construction site can also operate with these weight limits. However, these exemptions do not permit vehicles to exceed federal weight limits on the interstate highway system or to violate width and length limitations.
