SB1166

Missouri SB1166 prohibits local governments from using automated photo red light enforcement systems and automated license plate reader systems.

Missouri SB1166 amends state law to prohibit local governments, including counties, cities, and state agencies, from using automated photo red light enforcement systems and automated license plate reader systems. These systems include cameras and sensors used to capture images of vehicles running red lights and to convert license plate images into readable data. The bill also restricts access to data captured by these systems, except for those affixed to vehicles occupied by a peace officer.
