SB1103

Missouri SB1103 establishes lifetime protection orders for victims of dangerous felonies.

Missouri SB1103 creates provisions for lifetime protection orders for victims of dangerous felonies. The bill mandates that upon sentencing, a court can issue a lifetime protection order if the defendant is found guilty of a dangerous felony. This order prohibits the defendant from contacting the victim and remains in effect for the defendant's lifetime unless certain conditions are met, such as the victim's death or a change in the defendant's legal status.
