SB1085

Missouri SB1085 prohibits public school staff from supporting students' social transition to a gender different from their biological sex.

Missouri SB1085 prohibits public school staff from supporting students' social transition to a gender different from their biological sex. This includes counseling students about gender transition or initiating conversations about it. Staff must inform the principal within 24 hours if a student requests support for their social transition. The principal must then decide whether to terminate the staff member's employment or revoke their license. Parents can sue the school for violations, and the attorney general can also bring civil actions.
