Missouri SB1064 modifies tobacco product regulations, preempting local laws while allowing age restrictions.
Missouri SB1064 modifies tobacco product regulations by preempting local laws enacted by counties, municipalities, or other political subdivisions to regulate the sale of tobacco products, alternative nicotine products, or vapor products. The state law supersedes any local regulations except those that set the age to sell or purchase these products to persons under twenty-one years of age. Local laws in effect as of January 1, 2026, are exempt from preemption, but any new or amended laws after this date are subject to state preemption.
