SB1039

Missouri SB1039 establishes provisions for alternative dispute resolution processes, including mediation, arbitration, and early neutral evaluation.

Missouri SB1039 sets rules for alternative dispute resolution processes, including mediation, arbitration, and early neutral evaluation. The bill outlines confidentiality rules for communications made during these processes and specifies when such communications may be admissible in court. It also details the conditions under which a neutral can continue to serve despite a conflict of interest and allows parties to refer cases to different alternative dispute resolution processes. The bill emphasizes that these processes are nonbinding unless parties agree otherwise in writing.
