Missouri HJR149 proposes a constitutional amendment to modify term limits for members of the Missouri General Assembly. The amendment would limit legislators to sixteen years total in both houses. Before December 5, 2030, the limit is eight years in any one house and sixteen years in both houses. It also restricts the number of terms a legislator can serve as Speaker of the House or President Pro Tempore of the Senate.
