Proposed constitutional amendment to allow real property tax exemption for certain senior citizens in Missouri.

Missouri HJR139 proposes a constitutional amendment to authorize a real property tax exemption for certain senior citizens. The amendment would allow an exemption for age-qualified individuals with a Missouri adjusted gross income of one hundred thousand dollars or less. The exemption would extend to the surviving spouse of a deceased age-qualified individual if they are fifty-five years of age or older and meet residency requirements.
