Missouri HJR119 proposes a constitutional amendment to change how judges are selected in certain courts. The amendment would allow voters in judicial circuits outside of St. Louis and Jackson County to decide whether to discontinue the appointment of circuit and associate circuit judges by the governor. If a majority of voters in each county within the circuit approve, the selection of these judges by appointment would be discontinued.
