Introduced·2/25/26
Introduced Text

Modifies provisions relating to visitation rights of grandparents in Missouri.

This bill modifies provisions relating to visitation rights of grandparents in Missouri. It allows grandparents to intervene in dissolution actions solely on the issue of visitation rights and to file a motion to modify the original decree of dissolution to seek visitation rights when visitation has been denied. It also allows grandparents to file a motion for an independent action if no prior custody or visitation order exists. The court may order reasonable conditions or restrictions on grandparent visitation and may appoint a guardian ad litem for the child.
