Introduced Text

Authorizes pay increases for partisan employees of the Missouri General Assembly with college degrees.

The bill amends Chapter 21 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri by adding a new section. It authorizes pay increases for partisan employees of the Missouri General Assembly, including legislator assistants, policy directors, and chiefs of staff, who hold or obtain a degree from an accredited college or university. Employees with a bachelor's degree receive a three percent pay increase, while those with a master's or doctoral degree receive a six percent increase. The pay increase is based on the highest degree held by the employee.
