Missouri HB3427 establishes standards for covenants not to compete, making them void for hourly wage employees.
Missouri HB3427 amends Chapter 431 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri to establish standards for covenants not to compete. The bill voids and makes unenforceable any covenant not to compete that applies to employment arrangements where an employee is paid hourly wages. This change aims to protect hourly wage employees from restrictive agreements that could limit their job opportunities following the termination of their employment relationship.
