Missouri HB3377 authorizes political subdivisions to elect to cover telecommunicator first responders, jailors, road crew workers, lineworkers, and emergency medical service personnel as public safety personnel. This election reduces their minimum retirement age. If a political subdivision makes this election, the coverage applies to all past and future employment by these personnel. If no election is made, these personnel are not covered as public safety personnel. The employer's contributions change accordingly based on the election.
