HB3350

Missouri HB3350 prohibits railroads from operating trains longer than 8,500 feet on main or branch lines.

Missouri HB3350 amends Chapter 389 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri by adding a new section that prohibits any railroad operating within the state from running trains longer than 8,500 feet on any main or branch line. The Department of Transportation is authorized to create rules and standards to enforce this prohibition, including measurement procedures. If any part of the bill is found unconstitutional, the grant of rulemaking authority and any rules adopted after August 28, 2026, will be invalid. The bill also specifies that the section and related provisions are nonseverable.
