HB3345

Missouri HB3345 mandates annual visits to correctional facilities and inmate communications for state legislators.

Missouri HB3345 amends Chapter 217 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri by adding a new section requiring each member of the general assembly to conduct at least four qualifying interactions with the department of corrections annually, starting January 1, 2027. These interactions must include either in-person visits to any department of corrections facility or communication with an inmate to address issues they face. This bill aims to ensure legislators engage directly with correctional facilities and inmates.
