Missouri HB3310 modifies the required school year start date for school districts in which a charter school operates. The bill allows local school districts to set their opening date each year, but it must be no earlier than fourteen calendar days prior to the first Monday in September. The state board of education may grant an exemption from this section to a school district that demonstrates highly unusual and extenuating circumstances justifying exemption from the provisions of subsections 2 to 4 of this section.
