Expands the requirement for children to wear personal flotation devices on watercraft and in public waters.
This bill, known as "Hannah's Law," mandates that children under the age of twelve wear a personal flotation device when on board a watercraft or in navigable public waters more than three feet in depth. Exemptions apply if the child is in a fully enclosed part of a watercraft, supervised by a lifeguard, or if the child is on a watercraft without a flotation device, the child is deemed guilty of a class C misdemeanor.
