HB3280

Establishes a special license plate for surviving spouses of disabled veterans

Introduced·2/11/26
Introduced Text

Establishes a special "Surviving Spouse" license plate for surviving spouses of disabled veterans in Missouri.

The bill creates a special license plate for surviving spouses of disabled veterans in Missouri. These plates will display "SURVIVING SPOUSE OF DISABLED VETERAN" instead of "SHOW-ME STATE." The plates must be made with reflective material, be visible at night, and have an attractive design. A $15 fee, in addition to regular registration fees, will be charged for each set of plates. Surviving spouses can apply for these plates for vehicles they own, excluding apportioned or commercial vehicles over 24,000 pounds.
