Missouri HB3250 mandates schools to create policies requiring parental permission for student protest activities.
Missouri HB3250 amends the state's education code to require school boards to establish written policies on student participation in protest activities. These policies must ensure that students cannot be released from classes for protests without express parental permission. Each instance of protest requires separate parental consent. Schools violating these provisions face a reduction in funds equivalent to the per-pupil funding for each student participating without permission.
