Prohibits the possession and sale of certain mitragynine-derived products

Introduced·2/3/26
Introduced Text

Missouri HB3173 prohibits the possession and sale of certain mitragynine-derived products, except for scientific or medical research.

Missouri HB3173 makes it unlawful to knowingly possess, prepare, sell, distribute, or advertise any mitragynine-derived product, except for scientific or medical research at a research institution. The bill defines "7-OH" as 7-hydroxymitragynine and its derivatives, and "mitragynine-derived product" as any product containing mitragynine pseudoindoxyl or 7-OH in the alkaloid fraction greater than two percent. The bill amends Chapter 196 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri by adding a new section.
