Allows hospital boards to establish ambulance districts by petition instead of public petition.
This bill allows the board of trustees of a hospital operating a licensed ambulance service to establish an ambulance district by petition. The petition must be filed with the county clerk in the county where the hospital is located. After the district is organized, the hospital board of trustees will serve as the ambulance district board of directors. The terms and qualifications for the ambulance district board of directors will follow those for the hospital board of trustees.
