Establishes an Office of Special Investigations within the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to aid in investigations of abuse.

The bill creates an Office of Special Investigations within the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. This office will assist in investigating reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of eligible adults, defined as those who are vulnerable. The office will coordinate with law enforcement agencies and multidisciplinary teams to investigate and prosecute cases. Investigators with peace officer licenses will have expanded authority. Reports and records related to criminal investigations will be accessible as law enforcement records.
