Missouri HB3010 sets forth provisions for health carriers and utilization review entities concerning prior authorization of health care services. Starting January 1, 2027, health carriers must make statistics on prior authorization approvals and denials available on their websites. They must also implement a prior authorization application programming interface (API) to respond to requests for health care services, excluding prescription drugs. Health carriers and utilization review entities must notify providers and enrollees of prior authorization decisions within specific timeframes.
