Missouri HB2988 modifies provisions relating to leaves of absence for military service. It entitles public employees, including those in state, county, municipal, school district, or other political subdivisions, to leave of absence without loss of time, pay, regular leave, efficiency rating, or other rights or benefits. This applies to those engaged in military service under competent orders for up to thirty-eight working days. The bill also ensures that no retirement benefits are diminished or eliminated due to such service.
