Missouri HB2959 creates provisions for complainant patients or their representatives to participate in the discipline proceedings for certain health care professionals. The bill allows complainant patients or their representatives to attend all hearings and subsequent appeals related to the investigation and discipline of a specific licensee. It also permits the complainant patient or their representative to provide an oral or written victim impact statement in the presence of the licensee.
