Introduced Text

Missouri HB2942 mandates public schools to publish financial data on their websites.

Missouri HB2942 requires public school districts and charter schools to annually publish a list of unencumbered carryover cash balances for each fund. This report must be prominently displayed on the school's website and provided to school board members within 45 days after the budget year ends. Starting from the 2027-28 school year, schools must maintain a database of expenditure data in an open-structured format, downloadable by users. This database must include details such as the amount, funding source, date, and purpose of each expenditure.
