HB2911 modifies the Public Safety Recruitment and Retention Act by providing tuition awards for public safety personnel and their legal dependents. Eligible public safety personnel include police officers, jail or detention center personnel, juvenile officers, probation officers, firefighters, paramedics, telecommunicator first responders, emergency medical technicians, and advanced emergency medical technicians. Legal dependents of public safety personnel with at least ten years of service are also eligible for tuition awards.
