Introduced Text

Missouri HB2883 modifies the "Show-Me Sports Investment Act" to adjust tax revenue calculations for sports and entertainment facilities.

Missouri HB2883 modifies the "Show-Me Sports Investment Act" by adjusting the calculation of state tax revenues for sports and entertainment facilities. The bill excludes state tax revenues from matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup soccer tournament held in counties with populations between 700,000 and 800,000. It defines "adjusted baseline state average" as the average of state tax revenues from the facility over five years, excluding the highest and lowest years.
