HB2869

Provides a homestead exemption for disabled veterans

Introduced·1/8/26

Missouri HB2869 provides a homestead exemption for disabled veterans.

Missouri HB2869 allows counties to grant an annual real property tax credit for the qualified residence of a disabled veteran. The credit is calculated based on the veteran's disability rating and is optional for both the county and the veteran. The credit does not reduce assessed valuation or affect the taxing authority of any political subdivision. The program is set to begin on or after January 1, 2027.
