HB2843

Missouri HB2843 proposes a fee increase for repairing lateral sewer service lines in certain areas, subject to voter approval.

Missouri HB2843 allows cities, towns, villages, or counties to impose an annual fee of up to one hundred dollars per residential property with six or fewer dwelling units for repairing lateral sewer service lines. This fee applies to areas within a sewer district or counties with a population between 210,000 and 300,000. The fee is subject to approval by a majority of voters. The collected funds will be used for the repair of defective lateral sewer service lines, and condominiums with six or fewer units will be treated as individual residences for fee purposes.
