Missouri HB2818 modifies provisions governing annexation of territory outside the boundaries of a city, town, or village. The bill allows cities, towns, or villages to annex unincorporated areas if they are contiguous and compact to the existing corporate limits. It also allows cities with populations between 24,000 and 30,000 to annex state correctional centers within two miles of their boundaries. Additionally, cities with populations between 71,000 and 79,000 can annex airports outside their boundaries.
