Missouri HB2782 modifies provisions relating to retirement systems by repealing sections 105.684 and 169.540 and enacting new sections. It prohibits plans from adopting additional benefit increases beyond current provisions in effect prior to August 28, 2007. The bill also allows for a one-time supplemental payment to be made to eligible retired members or beneficiaries, subject to state appropriations. The payment amount is the lesser of the gross regular pension benefit or two thousand dollars.
