HB2767

Missouri HB2767 modifies the collection and distribution of prepaid wireless emergency telephone service charges.

Missouri HB2767 modifies provisions governing prepaid wireless emergency telephone service charges. The bill imposes a charge on each retail transaction for prepaid wireless telecommunications service, with the first $15 of each transaction exempt. The charge is four percent of the transaction amount. Sellers must report transaction details to the Department of Revenue. The collected charges are remitted to the Missouri 911 service trust fund, from which funds are distributed to counties and cities based on collected charges.
