HB2720

Modifies compulsory school attendance age in Missouri.

HB 2720 modifies the compulsory school attendance age in Missouri. It sets the compulsory attendance age at seventeen for metropolitan school districts that adopt a resolution to establish this age. For all other districts, the compulsory attendance age is set at seventeen or having completed sixteen credits towards high school graduation. The bill also outlines responsibilities for parents and guardians to enroll children in academic instruction programs and mandates regular attendance for children aged five to the compulsory attendance age.
