Missouri HB2695 modifies credit earned by offenders in the Department of Corrections.
Missouri HB2695 modifies provisions relating to credit earned by offenders committed to the Department of Corrections. It allows offenders serving more than one year, but not life sentences, to earn up to 54 days of good time credit annually for exemplary compliance with institutional regulations. Offenders can also earn 10 days of earned time credit for every 30 days of successful participation in rehabilitative programming or productive activities. The bill repeals and replaces Section 558.041, RSMo, to clarify the calculation of credit for days spent in confinement.
