Missouri HB2673 creates provisions for wellness checks for at-risk veterans. Local veterans' organizations or support organizations can establish programs to identify and invite veterans at risk of isolation, homelessness, or mental health issues to participate. The program uses noninvasive methods for initial contact and provides wellness checks twice monthly. Each check is conducted by a trained individual or a veteran, communicating in real time. The Department of Mental Health develops and implements the initiative and promulgates rules for the program.
