Missouri HB2648 establishes the Organized Retail Theft Coordination Center within the Department of Public Safety to address organized retail theft. The center will coordinate state law enforcement efforts, establish relationships with law enforcement agencies, and share information on organized retail theft threats. It will also track trends, support investigations, and provide training and technical assistance. The center will coordinate with state agencies and centers responsible for countering transnational organized crime threats.
