Missouri HB2631 creates the offense of unlawful possession of a firearm by a minor.

Missouri HB2631 creates the offense of unlawful possession of a firearm by a minor. A person under eighteen years of age commits this offense if they knowingly possess a handgun or ammunition suitable only for a handgun. The offense is a class A misdemeanor. Exceptions include temporary transfers, employment, ranching or farming activities, and defense against an intruder. The proceeds from the sale or trade of confiscated firearms and ammunition go to the arresting police or sheriff's department.
