Repeals prohibition on municipal sanctuary policies in Missouri.

Missouri HB2621 repeals the prohibition on municipal sanctuary policies by amending Sections 67.307 and 285.550 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri. The bill removes the restriction on local governments from enacting policies that limit cooperation with state and federal immigration enforcement. It also mandates that law enforcement officers receive written notice of their duty to cooperate with state and federal agencies on immigration law enforcement. The changes would take effect on January 1, 2009.
