Introduced Text

Missouri HB2614 modifies child care assistance by adjusting income eligibility criteria and subsidy rates.

Missouri HB2614 modifies provisions for child care assistance by altering income eligibility criteria and subsidy rates. The bill introduces a sliding fee scale for child care based on adjusted gross income and family size. It also allows for the waiver of sliding scale fees for children with special needs. The maximum payment by the department is set as the applicable rate minus the applicable fee. The bill repeals and replaces section 208.046, RSMo, to update income eligibility criteria for state-funded child care assistance.
