HB2605

Missouri HB2605 modifies election notice publication requirements.

Missouri HB2605 modifies provisions relating to the publication of election notices. It mandates that legal notice of an election must be published in at least one newspaper reasonably expected to inform the area holding the election. If no such newspaper exists, notice must be mailed to registered voters within six weeks prior to the election. The notice must include the date and time of the election, the location of the polling place, the name of the officer or agency calling the election, and a sample ballot.
