HB2518

Missouri HB2518 allows DACA recipients to obtain professional licenses on the same basis as U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents.

Missouri HB2518 amends state law to ensure that DACA recipients can apply for and obtain professional licenses without discrimination based on their immigration status. Oversight bodies must consider license applications from DACA recipients without regard to citizenship or immigration status. Licenses granted to DACA recipients will have the same rights, responsibilities, and protections as those issued to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents, provided the licensee maintains valid work authorization. The provisions apply to all license applications submitted on or after August 28, 2026.
