HB2467 amends Missouri law to authorize counties to adopt a real property tax exemption for eligible owners aged 62 and older. This exemption applies to residential real property used as a homestead. The exemption cannot be transferred, assigned, or combined with other tax relief programs. It also does not affect the process of setting the tax rate. The exemption applies to tax years beginning on or after January 1, 2027.
