HB2358

Modifies the offense of delivery of a controlled substance causing death

Introduced·1/7/26

Modifies the offense of delivery of a controlled substance causing death in Missouri.

This bill repeals and replaces Section 579.022 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri (RSMo) to redefine the offense of delivery of a controlled substance causing death. It specifies that delivering or distributing a controlled substance, knowingly mixed with another controlled substance, resulting in death is a class A felony. The bill also clarifies that it applies to offenses committed in other jurisdictions that would be considered the same offense in Missouri.
