Missouri HB2338 establishes child support obligations for unborn children, allowing putative fathers to be required to make payments if petitioned by.

Missouri HB2338 amends Chapter 454 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri by adding a new section that addresses child support obligations for unborn children. If a mother petitions the court for child support within two years of the child's birth, the putative father may be obligated to make payments for the months the mother was pregnant. If paternity is disputed, the biological father owes no duty until paternity is established.
