HB2324

Missouri HB2324 regulates how automobile insurers can procure and use driving data from vehicles.

Missouri HB2324 establishes rules for automobile insurers regarding the collection and use of driving data. Insurers must obtain written consent from vehicle owners before purchasing or obtaining driving data from any third party. The bill mandates that insurers inform vehicle owners about the types of data collected, the collection methods, the data's purpose, and the potential impact on premiums. Insurers are prohibited from selling or sharing driving data without the owner's written consent. The owner can request copies of any driving data or related reports.
