HB2323

Establishes a registry for domestic abuse offenders in Missouri, requiring registration and periodic updates.

The Missouri Domestic Abuse Offender Registration and Accountability Act creates a registry for individuals convicted of domestic abuse offenses. The Department of Public Safety maintains a secure database of offender information, accessible only to authorized law enforcement. High-risk offenders, defined as those with multiple prior convictions or a high risk of recidivism, must register within 72 hours of conviction or release from incarceration. Offenders must update their information within 10 days of any change.
