Establishes the "Act Against Abusive Website Access Litigation" to address frivolous lawsuits related to website accessibility.
The Act Against Abusive Website Access Litigation aims to protect Missouri residents and entities from frivolous lawsuits alleging website accessibility violations. It allows courts to consider various factors, such as the number of similar lawsuits filed by the same party, the defendant's efforts to correct violations, and the reasonableness of settlement offers. If a lawsuit is deemed abusive, the court can award attorney's fees and costs, and may impose sanctions.
