HB2311

Missouri HB2311 modifies the state's sexual offender registry requirements, including registration periods, exemptions, and petition processes.

Missouri HB2311 modifies the state's sexual offender registry by adjusting registration periods based on the severity of the offense. It specifies that tier I offenders must register for 15 years, tier II offenders for 25 years, and tier III offenders for life. The bill also allows for reduced registration periods if offenders maintain a clean record. It mandates that correctional facility officials inform law enforcement of an offender's release and requires offenders to report changes in their information. Nonresidents working or studying in Missouri must also register.
